What is the OLIF approach?

OLIF (Oblique Lateral Interbody Fusion) is a minimally invasive surgical technique that allows oblique access to the lumbar spine, without damaging the posterior muscles or nerve structures.

🔧 Advantages of OLIF:

  • Preserves muscles and avoids large incisions.
  • Less bleeding and postoperative pain.
  • Fast recovery and short hospital stay.
  • Possibility of correcting deformities and restoring disc height.
  • Ideal for interbody fusion at levels L2-L5.

👨‍⚕ Dr. Augusto Covaro applies this advanced technique in cases of *spondylolisthesis, **disc collapse* or *lumbar degenerative pathology*, with excellent functional results.
